Flight Validation Pilot Practical (FVP)
A course to practise a full-flight validation and develop practical work skills
Our flight validation pilot training course is the practical module for pilots who have completed the theoretical basic course to obtain flight validation pilot approval.
It comprises hands-on training of all elements relevant for a complete flight validation, from pre-flight validation to the creation of the report. This course fulfills the requirements of On-The-Job training required by ICAO Doc 9906 Vol 6.
Learning objectives are achieved using an example procedure to experience the validation process step by step:
- Pre-flight validation (analysis of navigation database coding, error detection)
- Airline aircraft type familiarisation
- Preparation of the flight validation program
- Conduct of a flight validation in a full-flight simulator (level D)
- Post-flight analysis and production of a report
